Am I Wrong or is the World?

Am
I wrong
or is the
world?

How many
contradictions
can we
bear?

How much
of the sacred
can be sacrificed
to the profane?

How much
of virtue
can be spent
on perversity?

How long
can any of us
endure
unbearable things?

Before
we break
beneath the weight
of our contradictions.

Until
all that
is sacred
is defiled.

Til
all that
is virtue
is spent.

Am
I wrong
or is the
world?

Life Lives Here in the Now

I can
do nothing
about the past.

The future
is not
guaranteed.

I lived
in the past
I may not
live in
the future.

I am alive
only in the
present moment.

Life lives
here
in the now.

The past
is a graveyard
the future
a dream.

I will not
agonize over
dead things.

I will not
worry about
dreams.

I will live
among
the living.

Where
joy and light
lives.

I will
make my present
a heaven
until I have no
presents left.

I will be good
and practice virtue
without regret
for the past
or hope
for the future.

Reason Will Not Teach You Virtue

Reason
will not
teach you
virtue.

Nor
make
you wise.

Logic
is but
a tool
of your
intentions.

Concerned
only with
the consistency
of your
truths
and lies.

Agnostic
as to
the
value
of each.

Reason
will make
you certain
but not
right.

Cunning
but not
wise.

Justified
but not
just.

Open
heartedness
must inform
intentions
and serve
as reason’s
guide.

Cultivate
love and
kindness
to be
just
virtuous
and wise.

Only then
may reason
serve truth
instead
of lies.

Open
heartedness
points
to the
ultimate
goal.

We are
one
it sings
from the
bottom
of our
soul.

Be
reasonable
but let
an open
heart be
your guide.
