Be Kind

Be kind.

Everyone
is someone
you’ve met before
or shall meet again.

Be kind.

Everyone
is someone
to somebody
even this body.

Be kind.

Everyone
is someone
every body
is your body.

Be kind.

Everyone
is someone
everyone
is someone.

Be kind.

This is a Slave World

This is
a slave
world.

Everyone
is a
slave.

Especially
the
masters.

Lured
by
desire.

Driven
by
fear.

Bound by duty
attachment
and desire.

Duty
to obligations
foolishly accepted.

Attachment
to impermanence
and distractions.

Desire
for illusions
naively believed.

Though
the body
is bound.

The soul
may be
free.

Liberation
is a state
of being.

Children of the Mind

Children
of the mind
fill our lives.

Hungry
for whatever
we have.

Craving
most of all
our attention
and time.

Demanding
that we know
and defend
their names.

Identity
money
and fame.

Ego’s spawn
will take all
thatĀ  you have
and become
all that you are.

The Empty Field

Cultivate
the empty field
of awareness.

Remove
the weed
of fixed ideals.

Concerning what is
has been
or should be.

Ward against
the pestilence
of a chattering mind.

That great
despoiler
of fields.

Crush
the stones
of resistance.

To the
present
moment.

Grow
god and
goodness.

In the
empty
field.

Harvest
with presence
a bounty of virtue.

As Luck Would Have It

As
luck
would
have it.

I always
get what
I want.

When I
need
it.

Just
in the
nick of
time.

Sometimes
fortune
sometimes
tragedy.

I always
get what
I want.

When I
need
it.

Because
the universe
does not
waste
time.

What I
get
I always
needed.

Whatever
that may
be.

Alike
in fortune
and tragedy.

I always
get what
I want.

When I
need
it.

Just
in the
nick of
time.

Because
what
I want
I always
needed.

And
the universe
does not
waste
time.

Reason Will Not Teach You Virtue

Reason
will not
teach you
virtue.

Nor
make
you wise.

Logic
is but
a tool
of your
intentions.

Concerned
only with
the consistency
of your
truths
and lies.

Agnostic
as to
the
value
of each.

Reason
will make
you certain
but not
right.

Cunning
but not
wise.

Justified
but not
just.

Open
heartedness
must inform
intentions
and serve
as reason’s
guide.

Cultivate
love and
kindness
to be
just
virtuous
and wise.

Only then
may reason
serve truth
instead
of lies.

Open
heartedness
points
to the
ultimate
goal.

We are
one
it sings
from the
bottom
of our
soul.

Be
reasonable
but let
an open
heart be
your guide.

Grant Me an Audience

Grant me
an audience
with your
presence.

That eternal
creature
of the
now.

Relinquish
for a
moment
your stories.

Your
glories
grievances
and games.

Lay
down
your idle
chatter.

Forbearing
the
pollution
of sound.

Settle for a
moment
into the
eternal now.
