Lies No Longer Hide Us From Disgrace
by Zachary Adama
Blind eyes
have been
stricken
with sight.
Lies
no longer
hide us from
disgrace.
We are not
who we
thought we
were.
Not nearly
so noble
nor hardly
so kind.
We are not
martyrs
to a righteous
cause.
We are children
playing
deadly
games.
Dying for
riches and
fleeting
fame.
Self-deceptions
no longer
make us
saints.
Wow, amazing blog structure! How lengthy have you ever been blogging for? you made blogging look easy. The total look of your site is fantastic, let alone the content material!
Thanks, Alex! This is my first and only blog. I started it sometime around 2011. I write when I feel inspiration, but otherwise leave it alone. The blog has evolved over time, as I have. It started out as a place to write lengthy diatribes…then prose…and now primarily poetry. The change reflects the simplification and transformation of my own nature.
